After a succesful run of the show the Red Shoes at the RSC finished a couple of weeks on the 20th Jan, I've been resting and recuperating with country walks with my kids and family and also immersing myself with teaching ideas and practising Elgar Concerto for a performance next month. It will be only the 2nd time I have performed this piece with orchestra but it has been in my consciousness for nearly a lifetime. Unfortunately my cello has had an accident and is currently having a large crack along its front being repaired by a trusted luthier. I hope it will return to me in full health as I look forward to further concerts this year including a summer of 3 operas with Longborough Opera, performing Wahnfried, Pelléas et Mélisande, and Barber of Seville. I'm looking forward to continuing my remote recording with a couple of projects lined up.Looking forward to the rest of 2025!
